Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Testing Consultant to execute comprehensive testing strategies for our upcoming SAP ECC to S4HANA migration The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge of SAP Financials and Controlling coupled with handson experience in S4HANA migration scenarios BrownfieldGreenfieldBluefield You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity accuracy and performance of our financial processes as they transition to the new S4HANA architecture specifically focusing on the Universal Journal New Asset Accounting and integration points with other modules
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise including deep knowledge of major tables in both ECC and S4HANA They should also demonstrate the ability to identify the root causes of system issues by leveraging their expertise and debugging code within the system
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy Planning Develop and execute comprehensive test plans scenarios and scripts specifically tailored for ECC to S4HANA migration eg data reconciliation custom code remediation business process transformation
Migration Testing Execution Perform System Integration Testing SIT User Acceptance Testing UAT and Regression Testing across all FICO submodules
Process Validation Test specific S4HANA simplifications and innovations including
Universal Journal ACDOCA reconciliation and reporting
New Asset Accounting integration with GL depreciation runs
CustomerVendor integration to Business Partner CVI
Margin Analysis Accountbased COPA vs Costingbased COPA
Material Ledger and actual costing validations
Integration Testing Ensure seamless data flow and process integration between FICO and other SAP modules eg SD in EndtoEnd scenarios like ProcuretoPay P2P OrdertoCash O2C and RecordtoReport R2R
Data Reconciliation Execute pre and postmigration financial data validation to ensure zero data loss and accurate financial balances
Defect Management Identify log track and retest defects using test management tools eg Jira ALM SAP Solution Manager Work closely with developers and functional consultants to resolve issues
Documentation Signoff Maintain detailed documentation of test results create defect metrics and facilitate UAT sessions with key business stakeholders to secure final signoffs
Required Skills Qualifications
Experience 5 years of handson experience as an SAP FICO Functional Consultant or QA Tester
S4HANA Expertise Must have been involved in at least 1 or 2 fulllifecycle SAP ECC to S4HANA migration projects in a testing or functional capacity
Core Module Proficiency Deep understanding of FI GL AP AR AA BL and CO CCA PCA IO PC COPA
Migration Methodology Strong understanding of migration approaches System Conversion New Implementation and the SAP Activate methodology
Testing Methodologies Proven expertise in software testing lifecycles STLC including test script creation execution and defect lifecycle management
Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial issues to both technical teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Test Automation Experience with test automation tools like Qyrus preferred Tricentis Tosca Worksoft Certify or SAP CBTA
Tool Experience Proficiency with SAP Solution Manager SolMan Micro Focus ALM or JiraXray
Fiori Knowledge Experience testing SAP Fiori applications and understanding rolebased authorizations
Certifications SAP Certified Application Associate in S4HANA Financial Accounting or Management Accounting or ISTQB certification
