Full job description

Senior Web Developer (Shopify Specialist) — Remote (India) | Monday–Friday, UK hours (9am–5pm GMT)

About the role
We're a UK-based healthcare company looking for a Senior Web Developer with strong Shopify expertise to take ownership of our web platforms. While Shopify is the core focus, you'll also work across our wider tech stack — custom development, integrations, and APIs. This is a hands-on role for someone who can own technical delivery independently across multiple platforms.

What you'll do:

Build and customise Shopify themes and storefronts
Design and build custom web applications and features from the ground up
Develop and maintain custom features, apps, and third-party integrations
Optimise performance, speed, and conversion across all sites
Troubleshoot issues and maintain site reliability

Core experience required:

Shopify development — theme development and customisation using Liquid, custom sections and templates, apps and integrations (Shopify Plus desirable)
Front-end development — strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Programming languages — strong command of one or more of PHP, Python, and JavaScript frameworks
Custom development — building bespoke web applications, features, and tools from scratch
Frameworks — experience with modern frameworks such as Laravel, React, or similar
Databases — MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
APIs & integrations — building and connecting third-party tools and services via REST APIs
Performance optimisation — site speed, Core Web Vitals, and conversion
Version control — confident with Git

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years' hands-on web development experience, with strong Shopify specialism. This is essential — if you do not have 8 years' experience, please do not apply, as your application will be rejected immediately.
Proven portfolio across Shopify and custom development projects
Strong full-stack capability and command of front-end and back-end technologies
Excellent written English
Able to work Monday to Friday, UK hours (9am–5pm GMT)
Self-directed and able to own technical delivery independently

Location: Remote (India)

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
