Job Description: AI/ML Engineer (Data Analytics & ML Support) Position: AI/ML Engineer Experience: 6+ Years Location: Remote Work Schedule: Friday – Tuesday Weekly Off: Wednesday & Thursday Budget- 1.10 LPM About the Role :- We are seeking a highly motivated AI/ML Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) to support data analytics, machine learning operations, and batch pipeline monitoring. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring data pipelines, validating dashboards, performing anomaly detection, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and supporting ML workflows. This role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, stakeholder communication, and the ability to collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams. This is a weekend-focused Data Analytics & ML Support role, requiring availability from Friday through Tuesday. Key Responsibilities Data Pipeline Monitoring & Support • Monitor and support batch data processing pipelines to ensure timely and accurate execution. • Track scheduled jobs and workflows across Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks. • Investigate and resolve pipeline failures, delays, and performance issues. • Escalate critical issues with detailed analysis and supporting evidence. Anomaly Detection & Root Cause Analysis • Perform data quality checks and anomaly detection across datasets and dashboards. • Identify unusual trends, forecast deviations, and business-impacting data inconsistencies. • Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective actions. • Identify recurring failure patterns and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Data Analysis & Dashboard Validation • Validate dashboard outputs and ensure data accuracy. • Analyze business metrics, trends, and operational KPIs. • Translate technical findings into actionable business insights. • Communicate results effectively to stakeholders and leadership teams. Machine Learning Operations Support • Support model validation and performance monitoring. • Analyze forecast accuracy, model outputs, and error trends. • Collaborate with Data Science teams to investigate model-related issues. • Assist in troubleshooting data and ML workflow challenges. Development & Optimization • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis and debugging. • Build and maintain PySpark transformations and data processing workflows. • Support distributed data processing and large-scale data operations. • Contribute to CI/CD validation, deployment monitoring, and release support activities. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain documentation for incidents, RCA findings, resolutions, and process improvements. • Create operational reports and share insights with internal stakeholders. • Ensure knowledge sharing and adherence to operational best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills • 6–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, AI/ML Support, or related roles. • Strong expertise in: o SQL (Mandatory) o Python o PySpark o Azure Databricks o Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Experience with: o Data pipelines and ETL processes o Distributed data processing o Dashboard validation and data quality checks o CI/CD monitoring and release validation o Basic Machine Learning workflows Analytical Skills • Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities. • Experience performing anomaly detection and root cause analysis. • Ability to identify trends, patterns, and operational risks through data analysis. Communication Skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience working with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to demand forecasting or predictive analytics environments. • Experience supporting production ML systems. • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms. • Experience working in support or operations-focused analytics teams. • Strong stakeholder management skills. Candidate Profile • Strong SQL and data troubleshooting expertise. • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and ADF. • Comfortable working in a weekend-focused support environment. • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of handling production-critical incidents. • Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.
