About the Role
Discover Dollar is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our People & Culture team. This is a hands-on internship designed to provide meaningful, real-world exposure across three core HR functions: Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, and Learning & Development. The intern will work closely with experienced HR professionals, gaining practical skills that complement their academic background in Human Resources.
Candidates who successfully complete the program will receive a formal Internship Completion and Experience Certificate issued by Discover Dollar. This is an internship-only engagement and does not constitute or guarantee a full-time offer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Support
Support end-to-end recruitment for intern, entry-level, and mid-level roles:

Draft and publish job descriptions on job boards, LinkedIn, college portals, and internal channels

Screen and shortlist resumes against defined role criteria

Schedule and coordinate interviews; communicate with candidates at every stage

Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) and update recruitment trackers and dashboards

Conduct initial telephonic or video screening calls for intern and entry-level positions
-
Follow up with hiring managers to collect timely interview feedback

Support offer rollout, pre-onboarding documentation, and joining formalities
-
Build candidate pipelines through college connects, campus job fairs, and LinkedIn sourcing

Prepare weekly and monthly recruitment MIS reports for review meetings
2. Employee Engagement & Fun Activities
Plan and execute initiatives that strengthen team culture, morale, and connectivity:

Work with the employee engagement team to conceptualize, plan, and execute the employee engagement calendar (monthly/quarterly themes, celebrations, and recognition programs)

Coordinate along with the employee engagement the fun activities including team-building events, cultural celebrations, festival observances, and contests

Work closely in managing end-to-end event logistics - venue, vendors, materials, and communications

Design and publish internal communications: mailers, posters, and social posts for engagement initiatives

Gather post-event feedback through surveys and compile participation and impact reports

Support Rewards & Recognition (R&R) programs - certificate and gift coordination

Contribute creative ideas to keep engagement activities inclusive, relevant, and enjoyable
3. Learning & Development — Content Creation & LMS Management
Support the L&D function in building learning assets and managing the Learning Management System:

Create /coordinate to create engaging learning content: presentations, e-learning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and video scripts

Upload, organize, and maintain courses, assessments, and learning paths on the LMS

Track learner enrolment, completion rates, and assessment scores; generate L&D MIS reports
-
Coordinate logistics for training sessions — calendar invites, room bookings, trainer communications, and attendance tracking

Curate and refresh the training content library to ensure all materials are current and accurate

Support new-joiner onboarding programs: prepare induction decks, welcome kits, and buddy-program materials

Assist in vendor coordination for external training programs and certifications
-
Gather post-training feedback and compile learning effectiveness metrics
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
-
Recently completed a Bachelor's degree with Human Resources/Psychology specialization (BBA, B.Com, BA, or BSc) or Master's degree (MBA, MHRM, MA in HR/IR, or MSW) with a specialization or major in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or Organizational Behavior.

Students in their penultimate or final year of study seeking a mandatory internship or dissertation-linked placement are encouraged to apply.

Recent graduates with an HR specialization who have not yet secured a full-time role are also eligible.
Prior Internship Experience (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
Candidates with the following exposure will be given preference during shortlisting:

Previous internship in HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, or a related function

Hands-on experience with an ATS, HRMS, or LMS platform (even in an academic or project context)

Having designed HR content, conducted employee surveys, or organized campus events in any formal or informal capacity
-
Having hands-on experience in AI tools will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with content creation tools such as Canva, PowerPoint; basic knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Keka, Zoho) is a bonus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Good interpersonal skills with ability to engage with candidates and cross-functional team members professionally

Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks

Comfortable with data entry, MIS maintenance, and basic Excel or Google Sheets

Creative mindset with an interest in event planning, content writing, or visual design

Proactive, self-driven, and willing to take ownership with minimal supervision

High degree of discretion in handling sensitive HR and personnel information

Performance will be reviewed at the midpoint and at the end of the internship; continuation is subject to satisfactory performance

The intern is expected to adhere to company policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional conduct throughout the engagement

Stipend details, working hours, and leave entitlements will be communicated at the time of the offer letter
