Your future duties and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Tableau Developer with 4–6 years of hands on experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Tableau dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a good understanding of data visualization, and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
. Translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and analytical solutions.
. Develop complex dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
. Work with multiple data sources and perform data blending, joins, calculations, parameters, and LOD expressions.
. Write and optimize SQL queries for extracting and transforming data from databases.
. Perform dashboard and query optimization to improve performance and user experience.
. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau reports, data sources, and dashboard performance.
. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
. Participate in UAT, production deployments, and post production support.
. Maintain documentation related to dashboards, data sources, and reporting processes.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Mandatory Skills
. 4–6 years of hands on experience in Tableau development.
. Strong experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
. Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
. Strong understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design.
. Experience with Tableau calculations, LOD expressions, parameters, sets, actions, and filters.
. Experience in dashboard performance tuning and optimization.
. Good analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
. Experience with Snowflake / BigQuery / SQL Server / Oracle.
. Exposure to ETL/data warehousing concepts.
. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
. Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools.
. Experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain would be an advantage.
