Step into the role of Training Manager at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the capability and performance of our Financial Crime Screening teams. In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of training programmes across Payments Screening, Customer Screening, and Adverse Media operations, supporting colleagues across the UK and India.
You will be responsible for ensuring that training solutions are effective, compliant, and aligned to regulatory expectations, operational requirements, and business objectives. The role holder will work closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to deliver innovative learning solutions that build capability, improve performance, and support a strong risk and control environment.
You will focus on driving learning excellence through robust governance, data-driven decision making, training assurance, and capability development. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively within a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Desirable skill set:
Operational knowledge of Financial Crime, including Sanctions Screening, Customer Screening, Adverse Media, AML, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
Strong understanding of risk management, governance, controls, and regulatory expectations within Financial Services.
Experience supporting audit, assurance, accreditation, or regulatory remediation activities.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.
Experience leading change, transformation, and capability-building initiatives within a regulated environment.
Strong analytical skills with experience using learning and performance data to drive business decisions.
Demonstrated ability to build inclusive, high-performing teams and develop talent through coaching, succession planning, and capability development.

Accountabilities

- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
