Job Description
Record to Report (R2R) – Responsibilities Journal Entries: Assist in preparing and posting journal entries during month-end and year-end close. Ensure all entries are backed by appropriate documentation. General Ledger (GL) Accounting: Reconcile GL accounts to ensure accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies. Month-End / Quarter-End Close Activities: Support in closing books of accounts on a timely basis. Assist with accruals, prepayments, and provisions. Fixed Assets Accounting: Support the maintenance of the fixed asset register. Help with capitalization, depreciation, and disposals. Intercompany Transactions: Support in reconciling intercompany balances. Assist in processing intercompany invoices and settlements. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare or assist in preparing reconciliations for assigned accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciling items. External Reporting – Responsibilities Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements in line with applicable reporting standards. Provide supporting documentation for disclosures. Audit Support: Liaise with internal and external auditors. Provide requested schedules, reconciliations, and documentation. Compliance Reporting: Support in preparing statutory reports and regulatory filings. Ensure timely submission of required reports to authorities. Variance Analysis: Help in performing variance analysis between actuals, budgets, and forecasts. Assist in preparing commentary and explanation for deviations. Data Compilation & Quality Checks: Extract financial data from ERP systems for reporting. Perform data integrity checks before finalizing reports.
