Job Description
The General Manager – Cement O&M & Bulk Terminal Operations will oversee cement bulk terminal and industrial O&M operations, maintenance, client coordination, and commercial monitoring. The role will focus on terminal operations at Mysore and Kochi while supporting future expansion into grinding units, packing plants, and cement manufacturing, ensuring operational efficiency, equipment reliability, safety, and profitable project execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily terminal and bulk material handling operations including unloading, conveying, storage, and dispatch systems.
- Maintenance Management: Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Client Coordination: Coordinate with client teams, contractors, OEMs, and consultants.
- Commercial Monitoring: Monitor manpower deployment, maintenance costs, consumables, budgets, billing, and operational efficiency.
- Equipment Reliability: Ensure high equipment uptime and reduced downtime.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to industrial safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Business Development Support: Support technical evaluation, costing, and execution planning for future projects.
Secondary Responsibilities
- System Development: Develop SOPs, reporting systems, maintenance schedules, and MIS systems.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Team Management: Lead and develop site teams, supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel.
- Expansion Support: Support expansion into grinding units, packing plants, and integrated cement manufacturing operations.
Education Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering
Experience
Minimum 10–18 years in industrial operations & maintenance, bulk material handling, cement industry, ports, terminals, or heavy industrial operations
