The IT Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business
growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and
promoting our IT services. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of
the IT industry, including emerging technologies and trends, as well as a proven
ability to generate sales and deliver client-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation and Market Development:
- Research and identify new business opportunities in the IT sector, focusing on both new clients and expansion within existing accounts.
- Generate leads through networking, attending industry conferences, cold outreach, and leveraging existing contacts.
- Develop and execute strategies for entering new markets and industries.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build, maintain, and grow strong, lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients, including C-level executives and key stakeholders.
- Conduct needs analysis and tailor IT solutions to meet specific business objectives of clients.
- Be the main point of contact for all client communications and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets, drive revenue growth, and expand the client base.
- Present and demonstrate IT solutions to clients, explaining the value and ROI.
- Collaborate with the technical teams to propose customized solutions based on the client’s specific needs.
- Project Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the delivery, technical, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution and delivery to clients.
- Provide insights and feedback from clients to improve product offerings and services.
- Industry Insight and Thought Leadership:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and emerging technologies in the IT industry, such as AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, IoT, etc.
- Position the company as a thought leader in the IT space by sharing knowledge through blogs, speaking engagements, and networking.
- Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within the CRM system.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales progress, pipeline, and keyperformance metrics.
- Prepare business forecasts and track progress toward revenue goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the IT industry.
- Proven track record in closing deals and driving revenue growth, preferably in
IT services such as software development, cloud computing, or consulting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT solutions, technologies, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
