Job Description:
This individual will work under the direction of the Marvell Global Director of EHS, and work will be overseen by the India Regional Senior Staff Manager, with both positions falling under the Corporate Real Estate and Workplace Services (CREW) Team. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable local and regional EHS regulations, standards, codes and company policies.
- Implementation, maintenance, and management of Global EHS Policies and customized EHS programs at all Marvell India sites for:
- Injury and Illness Prevention: conduct regular EHS risk assessments and workplace audits/inspections; support, monitor and track completion of corrective/preventive actions to mitigate hazards/risk, and report/conduct EHS accident incident investigations, providing thorough reports and recommendations for improvement in coordination with Global and local Security teams.
- Emergency Response – develop Emergency Response Plans using model template, coordinate and document completion of Emergency/Evacuation Drills for emergency preparedness, develop and maintain Evacuation & Assembly Area maps/signage using model template; identify, establish and coordinate regular training for Emergency Response Team.
- Laboratory Safety: noise, electrical safety, hazardous energy control, material handling, ionizing/non-ionizing radiation (as applicable).
- Chemical Hazard Communication: maintain chemical inventory, ensure Safety Data Sheet collection, maintenance and management.
- Ergonomics: work with ergonomic consultant as needed to ensure evaluations are conducted and documented in model template and with coordination of any related Facilities work order assignments for employee workstation modification, as appropriate (e.g., installation of keyboard trays, procurement of recommended alternative office furniture, such as chair).
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): conduct job hazard assessments to identify and communicate appropriate PPE requirements.
- Hazardous Materials and Waste Management: ensure proper identification, storage, collection and disposition of hazardous materials and regulated waste streams, and maintain records of disposition.
- Establishing an EHS Committee and conducting regular meetings to communicate and obtain feedback on relevant EHS issues (e.g., results of audits/inspections, information on accidents/incidents and corrective actions).
- Developing and delivering customized EHS training to enhance employee awareness and adherence to EHS requirements (beyond All Employee EHS Awareness and Lab EHS Awareness computer-based trainings).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS measures into business processes.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant regulatory bodies and local authorities.
- Monitoring and managing EHS-related tickets
- Ongoing tracking and compilation of environmental data collection for India sites in support of operations environmental sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in EHS management, with a focus on technology industries.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Strong knowledge of applicable India regional and local EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and address risks effectively.
