Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Manager – Government Sales to drive business development and revenue growth through government and public sector engagements. The role requires strong stakeholder management, strategic selling, and deep understanding of

government procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and close business opportunities with central, state, and local government departments, PSUs, and public institutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government bodies,nodal agencies, and implementing partners.
Track government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs relevant to the company’s offerings.
Lead proposal preparation in collaboration with internal teams such as product, legal,finance, and delivery.
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle including prospecting, negotiations, contracting, and post-sale follow-ups.
Represent the company at government forums, industry events, and policy discussions where relevant.
Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth execution of awarded projects.
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and reporting to leadership on a regular basis.
Monitor policy developments and market trends affecting government procurement and budgets.

Required Experience and Skills

5–8 years of experience in government sales, public sector business development, or related roles.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tendering, and
compliance requirements.
Proven track record of winning government contracts or large institutional deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and manage long sales cycles.
Experience working with technology, SaaS, advertising, digital, or AI solutions is a plus (if
relevant to your company).
Willingness to travel as required.
