Position Summary
Level: Consultant Managed Service or equivalent
Design and engineer next-generation commerce experiences on Google Cloud, combining Universal Commerce Platform building blocks with emerging agentic commerce patterns — AI agents that browse catalogs, negotiate, decide, and transact on behalf of consumers and businesses. The role sits at the intersection of GCP, headless commerce, and Vertex AI / Gemini-based agent stacks, supporting DF&O AM&C client engagements end to end from architecture through Operate.
Work you’ll do:

Architect commerce solutions on GCP across catalog, cart, checkout, fulfillment, and post-purchase domains.

Implement agentic commerce capabilities: agent orchestration, tool use, MCP / A2A integrations, and conversational shopping flows.

Build and integrate APIs and microservices across commerce engines (commercetools, Shopify, SAP CC, or Google's Universal Commerce stack) and Google's commerce AI services — Vertex AI Search for Commerce, Recommendations AI, Discovery AI.

Design event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub, Eventarc, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.

Integrate with Google's data and merchant ecosystem (Merchant Center, Shopping APIs, Product Studio).

Partner with experience in design, frontend, and martech teams on agent-driven customer journeys and personalization.

Contribute to Operate runbooks, observability standards, and AI agent guardrails for production deployments.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills
- 3 - 6 years building production solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on with core GCP services: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Firestore, Spanner, Apigee.
- Experience with one or more commerce platforms (commerce tools, SAP Commerce Cloud, Shopify, BigCommerce, or Google's Universal Commerce stack).
- Working knowledge of agentic AI patterns: LLM orchestration, function calling, tool use, retrieval, MCP and A2A protocols.
- Strong API design (REST, GraphQL) and proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Familiarity with Vertex AI, Gemini, and Agent Builder / Conversational Agents.
- GCP Professional Cloud Developer or Cloud Architect certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior delivery experience on Vertex AI Search for Commerce or Recommendations AI.
- Exposure to retail, CPG, travel, hospitality, or financial services commerce.
- Experience with payment orchestration (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree).
- Familiarity with composable commerce and MACH architecture principles.

- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
