Summary – basic function of the role
Enerpac Tool Group is seeking a detail‑driven, highly organized Product Data Specialist to support our global commercial product content delivery. This role will own the collection, structuring, enrichment, and syndication of product data to internal systems and external distribution partners. This includes key product data (item number, item description, item weight and dimensions, marketing descriptions, product photo URLs) as well as more technical and complicated data (compliance certification, battery specifications, previous SKUs for replacement items, etc). This role will require collaboration with our product team, engineering team, marketing team, and commercial team to collect and adapt the data for various distribution partners. This role will also require the ability to navigate technical data platforms to collect product data fields from the technical datasets in which they reside.
The Product Data Specialist will ensure Enerpac’s product information is accurate, complete, and aligned with partner requirements. This position plays a critical role in enabling our partners to load in Enerpac product to their catalog for purchase and sale and will directly support the product organization with new product launches and our national and regional channel account managers.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; evenings and weekends may be required
Location: Bangalore, India; In-office Monday – Thursday, Friday optional work-from-home
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Product Data Management & Governance

Collect, validate, and maintain accurate product information across engineering, marketing, operations, and compliance using available internal systems (Oracle, Windchill, Power BI, Enerpac.com website, internal digital Vault) and direct communication with key personnel.

Gain proficiency in technical platforms and internal systems for the timely and accurate delivery of product data to key channel partners.
- Maintain and govern product attributes including technical specifications, dimensions, materials, certifications, and compliance data.

Ensure consistency across master data, product catalogues, and global digital platforms.

Retrieve marketing-centric product descriptions (short/long) to use for product copy as required for channel partner’s specific requirements, including feature/benefit descriptions, SEO, keyword tagging.
- Work with the appropriate team to ensure high‑quality labeling of images, spec sheets, videos, and other digital assets as required during content delivery. Assist with identifying image and content gaps with a list of prioritization to minimize gap.

Understand unique timelines and requirements for our largest distribution partners for new product loads or updates.
- Build and maintain a master as well as partner‑specific templates for distributors (with specific templates for our largest national distributor partners such as Grainger, Fastenal, etc.).

Accommodate requests for core distribution channel partners to provide key product data for their website refreshes and core product uploads.

Map Enerpac product attributes to distributor taxonomies and category structures as needed.

Work with the Channel Marketing Manager for the timely upload and delivery of product data to channel partners, which could include delivery via email or through distributor portals and/or preferred vendors.

Using MS Excel, build and maintain a master product record database and support a future transition to an internal or external PIM, DAM, or centralized product databases (e.g., Salsify).

Support data migration, remodeling, and attribute enhancements.

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve attribute completeness.

Work with the product team, engineering, and compliance to obtain accurate technical and engineering data, as well as the operations team for item and packaging dimensions and weights.

Collaborate with marketing for brand-aligned copy and digital assets.

Coordinate with sales, sales operations, and channel teams to ensure product data completeness based on partner requirements.

Partner with IT teams to build, maintain, and synchronize any created or purchased PIM systems.

Develop and maintain documentation, templates, attribute libraries, and submission guidelines.

Monitor data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.

Recommend improvements to product data workflows, content governance, and automation.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of industrial or technical product data (mechanical tools, hydraulic equipment, MRO products preferred).

Experience working with PIM or MDM systems is beneficial but not required (Salsify, Akeneo, inRiver, Stibo, Informatica, or similar).

Proficiency in Excel with advanced data‑handling capability (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, data validation, pivot tables).

Basic ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specification sheets from engineering or Windchill.

Excellent written communication skills for product descriptions and content creation.

Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines across global time zones.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Excellent English communications skills required (verbal and written).

2–5 years of experience in Product Information Management, master data, eCommerce Product Data, or related roles.
Physical Demands
Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee may have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. This can include occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. Employee may need to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee will need to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Employee can work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time. Will have repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting or a typical warehouse environment where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. While in the warehouse employee may be exposed to high levels of noise.
