Chinese & Pantry Chef – Job Description
A Chinese & Pantry Chef is responsible for preparing Chinese dishes and handling pantry/cold kitchen food items while maintaining hygiene and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Chinese dishes such as noodles, fried rice, soups, gravies, and appetizers.
- Prepare pantry items like salads, sandwiches, cold cuts, desserts, and garnishes.
- Ensure proper food presentation and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
- Check food quality, freshness, and storage temperatures.
- Follow kitchen safety and food safety standards.
- Assist in stock checking and inventory control.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth operations.
- Minimize food wastage.
- Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of Chinese cuisine and pantry operations.
- Basic knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Qualification
- Diploma or training in Hotel Management/Culinary Arts (preferred).
- Experience in Chinese kitchen or pantry section is an advantage.
Pay: ₹10,996.03 - ₹22,000.00 per month
