Job Summary
Tiraya is hiring a Continental & Pan-Asian Chef to independently manage our Café Kitchen. This role focuses on all-day dining with emphasis on Italian, Continental, and popular Chinese/Pan-Asian dishes.
This is a hands-on cooking role, not a supervisory title. You are expected to cook, plate, and deliver consistently during live café service.
Key ResponsibilitiesContinental & Italian Section
- Prepare pasta sauces from scratch
- Handle hand-rolled pizzas (base, sauce, toppings, baking)
- Prepare gourmet sandwiches and continental breakfast plates
- Maintain consistency in taste and portioning
Pan-Asian / Chinese Section
- Operate the wok for:
- Chinese starters
- Fried rice and noodles
- Momos and café-friendly Asian dishes
- Ensure fast execution during peak café hours
Café Menu & Service Support
- Manage café snacks and finger food that pair with coffee
- Coordinate with barista and service staff for smooth service
- Maintain clean, organised café kitchen during service
Quality, Hygiene & Inventory
- Ensure clean plating and presentable food for boutique guests
- Follow hygiene and food safety standards strictly
- Assist Head Chef with stock tracking and daily requisitions
Requirements
- 2–4 years experience in a café or restaurant kitchen
- Must be comfortable handling Continental, Italian, and Chinese sections
- Good speed, cleanliness, and service discipline
- Ability to work independently during café operations
- Willing to stay on-site in an off-beat mountain location
Kitchen Structure (Clarity for Candidates)
- Head Chef (Indian/Tandoor): Handles heavy Indian meals and tandoor
- Café Chef (This Role): Handles pizza, pasta, continental, and Chinese
- Kitchen Helper: Supports with prep, cleaning, and dishwashing
This structure avoids overlap and confusion. You are responsible only for the Café Kitchen.
