Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
Project: Data Center Project
Experience Required: 5–8 Years
Salary: Competitive and dependent on expertise

Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer experienced in Data Center projects with 5–8 years of hands-on experience to join our design team.

The role involves detailed design, and documentation of Electrical systems, preperation of Design Philosophy, verification of drawings and models, coordination with other services etc. The candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant Electrical designs using industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed Electrical design drawings and documents including power distribution systems, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, control panels, instrumentation layouts, cabling, and low voltage systems.
Review single line diagrams (SLD), control schematics, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, cable schedules, and termination drawings.
Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, short circuit analysis, and lighting calculations.
Create and maintain 3D models and coordination drawings using Revit MEP / AutoCAD for E&I systems.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant Indian Standards (IS codes), National Building Code (NBC), CEA guidelines, IEC standards, and project specifications.
Carry out design reviews, interdisciplinary coordination, and clash detection with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
Support preparation of technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Design Basis Reports (DBR), and tender documents.
Review vendor drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
Provide technical inputs during design verification, construction, and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors for timely resolution of design-related issues.
Occasional travel to Ernakulam or other project sites may be required during critical design verification or execution stages.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering (B.Tech / BE). Master’s degree is an added advantage.
5–8 years of relevant experience in Electrical design for Data Centers, building projects, industrial facilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
Hands-on experience with electrical design (ETAP, Dialux, or similar will be an advantage).
Thorough knowledge of Indian electrical codes, CEA regulations, NBC standards.
Experience in Ele design coordination and BIM modelling.
Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (Full-time/ contractual office-based & hybrid position)

Preferred Skills

Previous experience in Data Centers, multi-building or similar projects in India/ Middle East.
Knowledge of smart building systems, BMS (Building Management Systems), or SCADA.
Familiarity with fire alarm, public address, CCTV, and access control systems design.
Exposure to value engineering and sustainable design practices.
