# Senior Design Manager

## Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Design Manager to lead the design and estimation team for residential and commercial construction and interior projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design development, estimation delivery, drawing management, quality assurance, team coordination, and ensuring seamless execution of projects from concept to site implementation.
## Key Responsibilities
### Design & Estimation Management
* Prepare and deliver design concepts, working drawings, and project estimates within defined timelines.
* Ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of all designs, estimates, and technical drawings.
* Review and approve design outputs before submission to clients and project teams.
* Coordinate design revisions and updates based on project requirements.
### Project Coordination
* Participate in client meetings, site meetings, and project review discussions.
* Update and maintain Minutes of Meetings (MOM) in coordination with Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth communication between design and execution departments.
* Assist clients in material selection and design finalization.
### Drawing Management & Quality Control
* Review drawings for technical accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project specifications.
* Coordinate with designers and technical teams to issue approved drawings to site teams.
* Ensure all drawings are updated, version-controlled, and available for execution.
* Monitor adherence to quality standards and design specifications.
### Studio & Documentation Management
* Maintain and update the Master Plan and project information on the server.
* Manage studio files, design registers, project records, and site documentation.
* Ensure timely updating of drawing registers, site files, and project databases.
* Maintain proper documentation for design approvals and project changes.
### Reporting & Team Management
* Submit End-of-Day (EOD) reports and weekly studio performance reports.
* Lead, mentor, and supervise the design team to ensure productivity and quality standards.
* Conduct regular design reviews and performance evaluations.
* Coordinate resource allocation and workload distribution within the studio team.
### Site Coordination & Compliance
* Conduct bi-weekly site visits to verify execution as per approved drawings.
* Ensure site work complies with design intent, specifications, and quality standards.
* Monitor SA/QC (Site Audit & Quality Control) requirements and report deviations.
* Coordinate corrective actions for design-related site issues.
## Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in interior design, architectural design, or construction project design management.
* Strong knowledge of design development, estimation, and construction documentation.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D visualization tools, and MS Office applications.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
* Experience in managing residential and commercial projects.
## Preferred Skills
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and interior fit-out execution.
* Expertise in material selection, cost estimation, and design quality control.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
