Job Summary

Standard Chartered Bank is leading the way in International Banking, supports the people and companies driven investment, trade and wealth creation across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. And our heritage and values are expressed in our brand promise – here for good. The Technology & Innovation team is currently looking for Senior System Analyst for CARD-400 (Credit Card systems).
The Senior Associate is required to contribute to requirement gathering, responsible for solution discussion, solution designs (functional and technical), developing, testing, and documenting project changes for Credit Card systems following Agile SDF process. The candidate will also require assisting delivery manager and/or scrum master’s in project management.

Besides that, successful applicant is also required to: -

Possess self-initiatives and able to work under minimal supervision.
Possess analytical mindset and able to provide solution based on system analysis.
Able to meet and comply to System Development Framework (SDF), Quality Management Framework (QMF) or Disciplined Agile Delivery, and Risk Mitigation framework which includes ensuring process, security, regulatory, and audit requirements are met.
Possess Agile and Scrum knowledge and able to work in Scrum team
At least 6 – 8 years working experience in AS400 platform, RPG, CL, PL/SQL, Control-M.
Possess 2 – 3 years Java, Maven, Git, ADO skillset.
Able to review junior’s code and guide junior.
Possess credit card domain knowledge
Working experience in DevOps, Confluence, CICD.
Knowledge in AR Remedy, software lifecycle management tool (e.g.: Thenon, Aldon) is an added advantage.
Must be adaptive and welcoming constant changes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

Possesses great understanding on Credit Card business and domain functional knowledge.
Possesses basic understanding on Personal Loan business and domain functional knowledge.
Actively lead and support credit card system development projects to achieve the most optimal client, business and people outcomes.

Business

Understand business idea, clarify primary purposes of the future product or product feature changes. Assist in setting up primary product benchmarks, such as customer acquisition strategy and value proposition. Evaluate the most relevant means of implementation, which will be the most convenient for both stakeholders and developers.
Assist in development activities planning along with software development team, establish primary business requirements, shape development direction and arrange development prioritization, via workshop, user stories creation, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and other necessary Agile ceremonies / activities.
Discuss in detailed with stakeholders and validate business requirement before business requirements is included in the team backlog, assures compliance of the development outcomes with a customer’s business goals. Ensure both sides on the same page and everything goes in the right direction.
Get feedback from stakeholders and ensures product improvements according to the obtained info.
Delivered projects within the banks project management framework, within timeline within budget. Emphasis on project quality to ensure no incident created from project implementation. Plan more small or incremental releases of the software while delivering new features to market faster (speed to market).
Aligned to the Credit Card & Personal Loan (CCPL) Tribe mission, using technology to help business to growth CCPL business and profits by:-
Recommending system solution to growth balances, interchange income and interest income especially in the Personal Segment.
Transform the current manual processing to digital real time straight through processing.
Deliver key business initiative, be it in-country, regional, group or Global initiatives.
Support business stakeholders to standardize the Standard Chartered Bank Brand Global Products.
Provide business solution that will achieve speed to market as well as production system stability.

Processes

Proactively identify and implement operational effectiveness improvements
Collaborate with stakeholders (product team, interface teams) to review issue logged or prioritization of requirements in backlog are being addressed and provide ongoing feedback on challenges, successes and best practices.
Ensure CARD-400 system parameters are maintained in a timely and accurate manner and are proactively review parameter change request on an ongoing basis.

People & Talent

Actively engaging in stakeholders’ conversations, providing timely, clear and actionable feedback to deliver project within timeline.

Risk Management

Escalate, mitigate and resolve any risk, conduct and compliance issues noticed throughout the project development lifecycle.

Governance

Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

Credit Card product team of United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia, Jersey.
Retail Banking Technology & Innovation Retail Products Lending Credit Card Project Development team (RB ITO-Ret Prod-LC-CrCard-Prj)
Credit Card Operation team, authorization team, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Credit, Collection, on-boarding team, and other in-country teams.
Key interface teams of Credit Card Systems such as i-Banking, SMS Banking, e-Statement team, e-Bundle team, PSGL team, CACS team, EDMP team, Rewards Engine team, etc.
Technology & Innovation Leadership team – Country, Regional, Global
