You will join Envestnet’s Technology team, where we design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust WealthTech solutions that power the future of financial advice. The team collaborates closely with product, operations, and business stakeholders to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and enable sustainable growth. How You’ll Contribute
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Engineer – Microsoft 365 & Azure to lead the design, engineering, and operations of our enterprise cloud, collaboration, endpoint, and security platforms. This role combines deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Power Platform, and AI tools (Copilot) with a strong focus on security, compliance, and Zero Trust architecture to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation.
- Platform Engineering & Ownership:
- Own end-to-end architecture, implementation, and operations across Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, and Endpoint Management (Intune)
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence
- Collaboration & Productivity Platforms:
- Manage Microsoft 365 workloads: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive
- Define governance for collaboration, sharing, and lifecycle management
- Drive adoption of Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered productivity solutions
- Power Platform & Automation:
- Design and deliver solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Drive citizen development frameworks with strong governance controls
- Enable automation and business process optimization
- Security, Identity & Compliance:
- Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, and PIM
- Lead enterprise security solutions including Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps) and Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery)
- Configure advanced email security: Spam, phishing, malware, impersonation protection, and secure mail flow
- Manage compliance controls: Data classification, retention, legal hold, content search
- Align platform architecture with Zero Trust and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Cloud & AI Transformation:
- Lead adoption of Microsoft Copilot and AI-driven capabilities across M365 and enterprise workflows
- Ensure AI usage aligns with data protection, compliance, and governance standards
- Drive Azure-based modernization and cloud-first initiatives
- Migration & Integration:
- Lead enterprise migrations: On-prem to cloud (Exchange, file servers to SharePoint/OneDrive) and Tenant-to-tenant and M&A integrations
- Integrate enterprise platforms (Zoom, Webex, Miro, etc.)
- Implement SSO and identity integrations (Okta or equivalent)
- Automation & Operations:
- Build automation using PowerShell and platform-native tools
- Monitor platform health, mail flow, endpoint compliance, and security posture
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes
- Backup, Recovery & Resilience:
- Manage backup and recovery solutions for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive
- Ensure disaster recovery readiness and data resilience
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams
- Partner with security, compliance, and business stakeholders
- Contribute to cloud, collaboration, and security strategy and roadmap
- Endpoint Management - Intune (Desirable):
- Lead endpoint management strategy using Microsoft Intune
- Manage device compliance, configuration profiles, and application deployment
- Implement Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM)
- Enforce endpoint security posture aligned with Zero Trust principles
Support Windows, macOS, and mobile device management across enterprise
What You’ll Need to Bring
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT with strong focus on Microsoft cloud ecosystem
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Azure cloud services and architecture
- Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Management)
- Microsoft Security stack (Defender, Purview, Conditional Access)
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Experience implementing Zero Trust security models
- Proven track record in large-scale migrations and transformation initiatives
- Strong automation skills (PowerShell preferred)
- Strong ownership mindset with end-to-end accountability
- Deep expertise across cloud, endpoint, and security domains
- Ability to drive AI, automation, and security-led transformation
- Strong Zero Trust and compliance-first approach
- Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
