Role Summary
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Expert specializing in Microsoft Exchange (Subscription Edition – SE), Exchange Online, and Hybrid environments, with strong skills in advanced automation and scripting. The role focuses on operational excellence, issue resolution, and building automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability of messaging services.
Key Responsibilities
. Operate and support Exchange Server SE, Exchange Online, and Hybrid topology.
. Troubleshoot complex issues: mail flow, transport pipeline, Autodiscover, Hybrid OAuth, Outlook connectivity, and DAG/HA components applicable to SE.
. Build and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts, functions, modules, and automation routines with proper logging, exception handling, and reusability.
. Develop integrations using Microsoft Graph API, EXO modules, and modern authentication.
. Automate provisioning, policy assignment, mailbox migrations, reporting, and compliance operations.
. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and identity teams on TLS, certificates, compliance, and access governance.
. Work closely with mail gateways (e.g., IronPort/ESA or equivalent) to support secure mail routing and hygiene.
. Drive root‑cause analysis for complex incidents and implement permanent fixes.
. Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge repositories for operational teams.
Required Skills
. Strong hands‑on experience with Exchange Server SE and Exchange Online.
. Deep expertise in PowerShell, including advanced patterns (parallelization, modular coding, error handling, logging frameworks).
. Experience with Graph API, REST endpoints, and automation platforms (Azure Automation, Functions).
. Solid understanding of mail gateways (Cisco IronPort, Proofpoint, etc.).
. Knowledge of SMTP, TLS, DNS, certificates, SPF/DKIM/DMARC.
. Ability to manage critical incidents and coordinate with stakeholders.
Good to Have
. Knowledge of Exchange 2016/2019 concepts (transport pipeline, DAGs, mailbox roles).
. Awareness of Purview, retention, litigation hold, and compliance workflows.
. Exposure to CI/CD or version‑controlled script deployment.
