As a member of this team you would contribute to CDMS’s mission. The successful candidate will:
Under general supervision, creates excavation, dewatering, shallow/deep foundations, dams/reservoirs/levees, geo-environmental projects, etc. engineering designs of basic to moderate complexity to meet client project requirements. Reviews draft designs for compliance with US Federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessary. Performs soil sampling analyses and modeling.
Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.)
Good written and verbal communications skills.
From the field investigation notes, the engineer should be capable of developing bore logs, location map showing borehole locations, classify soil based on IBC and relevant State code & standards, etc.,
Person should be capable of developing detailed Geotechnical report by analyzing bore logs, field notes, etc., for a project site located outside India like USA, UAE, Europe, etc.,
Prepare scope of work and budget estimates and monitor progress.
Forecast workload and schedules.
Review or write specifications. Develop new specifications as needed.
Perform engineering services during construction, including review of field reports during construction, and response to contractor questions.
Minimum Qualifications
B.E (Geotechnical or Civil)., M.E (Geotechnical Engg) Preferred
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Geotechnical analysis, Field boring soil investigation, capable of analyzing Geotech Lab report & explorations, giving solutions to the foundation system based on structure requirements
Hands-on experience with either Civil 3D AutoCAD or at least plain AutoCAD is a must
Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, L-Pile analysis).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
Familiarity with international standards such as Euro codes & American codes ASCE, IBC, ACI, ASTM.
Experience in developing Geotech recommendations for the static and dynamic equipment foundations, etc., and capable of recommending best solutions for soil improvement techniques, developing specifications.
