Full job description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, feeding, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients. The SLP will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support the developmental needs of children.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions.
Assess and manage children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, cerebral palsy, hearing impairments, and other communication disorders.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
Educate parents and caregivers regarding home programs and therapy goals.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and therapy documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.

Administrative Responsibilities

Prepare assessment reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Maintain therapy schedules and patient follow-up records.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
Participate in departmental meetings and clinical audits.

Patient & Family Care

Counsel families regarding communication development and intervention strategies.
Provide guidance on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) methods when required.
Promote family involvement in therapy programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology / Audiology & Speech Language Pathology.
Valid professional registration/certification as applicable.
Experience in pediatric rehabilitation or children's hospitals preferred.

Experience

0–3 years: Junior Speech Language Pathologist.
3+ years: Independent management of pediatric speech and language disorders preferred.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of speech and language development.
Expertise in pediatric assessment and intervention techniques.
Excellent communication and counseling skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Good documentation and report-writing skills.
Compassionate and child-friendly approach.

Working Conditions

Hospital-based pediatric rehabilitation setting.
Interaction with infants, children, adolescents, and their families.
Participation in outreach programs, camps, and developmental screening activities as required.

Pay: From ₹60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
