Job Role:
- To ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, conduct fire risk assessments, develop and implement fire prevention policies and procedures, evaluate fire hazards, ensure adherence to fire safety standards and codes, and investigate fire-related incidents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fire Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, fire protection systems, and equipment (e.g., extinguishers, alarms, hydrants) to identify fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Fire Equipment Maintenance: Oversee maintenance, testing, and servicing of fire protection systems and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Mock Drills & Training: Plan and conduct fire mock drills regularly to test emergency preparedness and train staff on evacuation procedures.
- Manage Fire Crew: Lead and supervise the fire crew, ensuring proper deployment, readiness, and adherence to fire safety protocols during emergencies and routine operations.
- Firefighting Operations: Respond promptly to fire emergencies, lead firefighting efforts, and coordinate rescue operations to minimize damage and ensure safety.
- Fire Safety Standards: Recommend and implement fire safety standards and protocols to maintain a fire-safe environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with fire codes and statutory requirements through periodic audits and inspections.
- Awareness Campaigns: Organize fire safety awareness programs and training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Incident Investigation: Participate in fire incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive and corrective actions. Oversee implementation of these actions.
Competencies / Skills:
- Firefighting Experience: Proven experience in firefighting operations, emergency response, and fire control measures.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of fire protection equipment, fire suppression systems, and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Incident Analysis: Ability to analyze fire incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Attention to Detail: Skilled in detecting fire hazards, equipment faults, and ensuring readiness of firefighting resources.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of handling fire emergencies effectively and implementing preventive measures.
- Leadership & Communication: Experience in managing fire crews, conducting mock drills, and training personnel in firefighting techniques
Must Have:
- Fire Fighting Experience
- Knowledge about firefighting systems
- Experience to work on Fire support Vehicle (Fire Tender)
- Knowledge about fire detection systems
- Experience of handling fire crew
- Industry/ Facility experience working as a Fire Engineer
