Role Summary
We are seeking a Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to design, build, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and data infrastructure across our current and upcoming projects. You will work on the MESIO modernization initiative (SQL Server consolidation, database rationalization), the Arise IntelliFlow platform (AI-enabled SAP S/4HANA workflow automation with OCR/IDP data extraction and reporting), and the forthcoming FinAuto product suite (financial automation for manufacturing enterprises).
This is a hands-on role requiring strong SQL skills, ETL/ELT pipeline development experience, and the ability to work with both relational databases and modern data tooling. You will collaborate closely with application developers, AI/ML engineers, and the US-based architect.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline & ETL Development
· Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery across multiple projects and data sources.
· Build data integration layers between SQL Server, SAP S/4HANA (via APIs), document processing systems (OCR/IDP output), and reporting platforms.
· Develop automated data extraction routines for structured and semi-structured data (PDF, Excel, email, JSON, XML) from omnichannel intake sources.
· Create and maintain data feeds for operational dashboards, KPI tracking, and business reporting (e.g., Straight-Through Processing %, AI Resolution Rate, workflow TAT).
Database Engineering & SQL Development
· Write optimized T-SQL stored procedures, functions, views, and complex queries for SQL Server based applications.
· Support database rationalization initiatives — analyze schema usage patterns, identify unused tables/indexes, and execute cleanup with audit logging and rollback safety.
· Design and implement database schemas, indexing strategies, and performance tuning for high-volume transactional systems (~229K+ annual transactions, 5,000/day).
· Perform data migration and consolidation tasks (e.g., MongoDB to SQL Server migration, eliminating intermediate persistence layers).
Data Quality & Governance
· Implement data validation frameworks, quality checks, and monitoring alerts within data pipelines.
· Ensure data integrity, consistency, and completeness across multi-country, multi-entity environments (13+ countries, multiple currencies and business units).
· Support audit trail and compliance requirements — tamper-proof logging, configurable retention, SOC 2 / ISO 27001 data controls.
Platform & Product Development Support
· Contribute to the Arise IntelliFlow platform — data layer for AI-powered document understanding, agentic SAP posting, and exception handling workflows.
· Support the FinAuto product development — financial data models, ETL for enterprise finance process automation, integration with accounting/ERP systems.
· Build and maintain reporting data models, star schemas, or data marts for analytics and business intelligence.
· Collaborate with the US-based architect and India-based developers in a cross-border agile delivery model.
Required Qualifications
Education
· B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
· 2–4 years of professional experience in data engineering, database development, or backend development with a strong data focus.
Technical Skills — Must Have
· Microsoft SQL Server — strong T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, indexing strategies (2+ years hands-on).
· ETL/ELT pipeline development using one or more: SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Python (pandas, SQLAlchemy), or equivalent ETL frameworks.
· Python programming for data processing, scripting, and automation (pandas, requests, JSON/XML parsing).
· Relational database design — normalization, schema design, data modeling for transactional and analytical workloads.
· Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving multi-table joins, window functions, CTEs, and aggregations on large datasets.
Technical Skills — Strong Plus
· Experience with SAP S/4HANA data integration or ERP system integrations via APIs (OData, REST, SOAP).
· Document processing / OCR / IDP pipeline experience — extracting structured data from PDFs, scanned images, Excel, email attachments.
· Cloud platform experience — Azure (Data Factory, Blob Storage, Azure SQL) or AWS (S3, Glue, RDS).
· Data warehousing concepts — star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, fact/dimension tables.
· Reporting/BI tool experience — Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or similar.
· Message queue / event-driven data processing — RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar.
· NoSQL migration experience (e.g., MongoDB to SQL Server consolidation).
· CI/CD for data pipelines — Git, Azure DevOps, or similar version control and deployment tooling.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
