ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Business Development Executive at Avanexa, you will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pipeline development to proposal delivery, deal closure, and account growth — across Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and The Nilgiris. You will represent our complete service portfolio including web development, mobile apps, digital marketing, cloud solutions, and marketplace services, targeting SMBs, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and manufacturing businesses in the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business Acquisition

Identify, prospect, and qualify new B2B leads across target industries (SMBs, Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing & Textiles, Retail).
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through field visits, cold outreach, referral networks, industry events, and digital channels.
Conduct discovery calls, site visits, product presentations, and live demos of Avanexa’s service offerings.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, commercial quotations, and responses to RFPs or tenders.
Negotiate commercial terms, manage objections professionally, and close deals within agreed timelines and margin guidelines.

Account Management & Growth

Nurture and grow existing client accounts through proactive check-ins, quarterly reviews, and value-driven conversations.
Drive upselling and cross-selling across Avanexa’s service lines (e.g., SEO for existing web clients, mobile apps for website clients).
Ensure timely contract renewals and high client satisfaction; escalate delivery concerns to internal teams promptly.
Act as the primary relationship owner for your accounts, coordinating internally with delivery, design, and marketing teams.

Collections & Financial Hygiene

Follow up on outstanding invoices and Accounts Receivable (AR) in coordination with the finance team.
Ensure adherence to agreed payment milestones; resolve disputes diplomatically while protecting business interests.
Maintain accurate records of invoices, payment timelines, and credit terms per client.

Reporting, Task Management & Market Intelligence

Maintain up-to-date records in Asana covering all client interactions, pipeline stages, follow-up tasks, and deal notes.
Submit accurate weekly/monthly MIS reports — pipeline health, conversion rates, revenue booked, and collection status.
Track competitor offerings, pricing trends, and regional market shifts; share actionable intelligence with leadership.
Plan and execute territory coverage schedules efficiently to maximize client touchpoints.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience & Track Record

2+ years of B2B sales experience in technology products or services (web, mobile, digital marketing, SaaS, IT services, or similar).
Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets with measurable deal closures.
Prior exposure to selling to SMBs, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, or manufacturing businesses is a strong advantage.
Experience managing AR, collections follow-ups, invoicing processes, and credit terms
negotiation.

Skills & Competencies

Outstanding verbal and written communication in Tamil and English; proficiency in additional regional languages is a bonus.
Strong consultative selling skills — ability to understand client problems and map them to Avanexa’s solutions.
Confident presenter: comfortable conducting demos, delivering proposals, and leading
commercial negotiations independently.
High degree of self-motivation, ownership mindset, and resilience in field sales environments.

Proficiency with Asana for task and pipeline tracking; comfort with MS Office / Google Workspace.
Strong market knowledge of Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and The Nilgiris business ecosystems is preferred.

Logistics & Availability

Willingness to travel extensively within the region; valid driving license and personal two-wheeler or four-wheeler preferred.
Ability to operate independently in the field with minimal daily supervision.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, Marketing, or a related discipline.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Sales/Marketing is an advantage, not a barrier.

HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED

Monthly and quarterly revenue targets — new business won vs. plan.
Pipeline health — active opportunities, conversion rate, average deal size, and deal velocity.
Accounts Receivable — DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) within agreed thresholds.
Renewal and upsell rate across managed accounts.
Asana hygiene score — completeness and accuracy of task records and pipeline notes.
Net Promoter Score (NPS) / client satisfaction feedback from your accounts.
