GST Executive – Core GST

Location: Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Experience: 1–3 Years

Employment Type: Permanent

Job Status: Full-Time

Qualification: B.Com, M.Com, BBA (Finance), or Graduate in Commerce, Accounts,

Finance, or a related field, CA Inter (Qualified/Pursuing).

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated GST Executive – Core GST to join our

Finance & Taxation team. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of GST

laws, return filing, reconciliations, and statutory compliance. The role primarily focuses

on end-to-end GST compliance while providing limited support for TDS-related

activities whenever required. Candidates should have excellent analytical skills and the

ability to ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns including

GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.

Perform GST reconciliations, including Input Tax Credit (ITC), GSTR-2B, purchase

Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities and compliance with statutory due

dates.

Prepare GST workings and maintain accurate documentation for all return filings.
Handle GST registrations, amendments, cancellations, LUT applications, and

other compliance-related activities.

Reconcile GST data with financial records and identify discrepancies for timely

resolution.

Respond to GST notices, departmental queries, audits, assessments, and

compliance requirements.

Coordinate with internal departments and clients to collect GST-related

information and supporting documents.

Maintain statutory records, tax documentation, and compliance reports.
Prepare MIS reports related to GST compliance and taxation activities.
Keep updated with amendments in GST laws and ensure timely implementation

of applicable changes.

Provide basic support in TDS reconciliations, quarterly TDS return preparation,

and compliance activities as and when required.

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory regulations.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of GST laws, return filing procedures, reconciliations, and

statutory compliance.

Hands-on experience working on the GST Portal and GST compliance processes.
Good understanding of Input Tax Credit (ITC), GST audits, and GST assessments.
Basic knowledge of TDS provisions, deductions, and quarterly return filing.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Advanced Excel functions such as:

o VLOOKUP

o XLOOKUP

o Pivot Tables

o Conditional Formatting

o Data Analysis

Working knowledge of Tally, ERP systems, or tax compliance software.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail with excellent accuracy.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
