What Makes You a Great Fit
Pebl is looking for a Senior Manager of Global Payments to manage a team of accounts payable specialists to support global payment operations. Based in Bangalore, the role will be highly visible to the leadership team and have strategic as well as tactical and operational opportunities.
This role requires a commercially minded, data-driven operator who can balance payment processing efficiency, fraud and risk mitigation and regulatory requirements while partnering closely with Payroll, Finance, Treasury and Product. The ideal candidate will bring executive presence, strong vendor management discipline, and the ability to coach and groom a high-performing team that delivers measurable improvements in payment performance within the first 12 months.
As Pebl’s most senior payments operator, you are accountable for ensuring timely and accurate money movement and reconciliation. Along with Treasury, Procurement and Finance, you will be a part of leadership cohorts that will design and build Pebl’s global payments strategy.
How You'll Make An Impact:
Own the full payments lifecycle
Provide strategic direction and oversight to the global accounts payable function, including invoice automation processing, vendor master data, vendor on-boarding, payment execution and intercompany settlements.
Maintain and ensure consistent application of AP policies and controls across subsidiaries.
Review Journal entries, Prepayment funding request and batch payments uploaded by the AP team
Manage daily AP mailboxes and monthly workflow of the team members, review weekly payment run including forecast of payables
Serve as a key partner in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including reconciliations, and audit support.
Act as the business owner for payments performance and employees experience, partnering closely with Payroll, Accounting, Treasury and Product.
Drive a “customer” oriented payments journey, ensuring speed, reliability, and ease of use across all touchpoints.
Partner with Accounting and FP&A in driving cash forecast goals.
Hold internal business partners accountable to performance SLAs, cut off deadline, accuracy, speed and reliability over payment needs
Lead Payment Operations, identifying and resolving friction points across the end-to-end user journey
Drive operational improvements in exceptions, retries, reversals, and escalations
Let's Connect If You Have:
Masters in Finance / Commerce BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent working experience required
7-10 years of relevant experience in heading global payment operations, vendor management, and accounts payable.
Accounting experience is preferred, particularly in accounts payable, accrual and departmental cost center reporting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Ability to work with a wider global team and across different time zones if required.
Technology-savvy, including Microsoft Suite, NetSuite and ZIP is desirable.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize and juggle with a variety of tasks
Assist in ME close by collaborating with GL, Treasury and the International Accounting team ensuring timely closure of books
