The role requires strong technical skills, attention to quality, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate argon welding (TIG) equipment for welding stainless steel, aluminium, carbon steel, and other metal alloys.
Read & interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings to determine weld types, settings, materials, and sequence.
Select proper tungsten electrodes, filler metals, shielding gas flow rates, and welding parameters.
Perform precision welds with consistent quality, strength, and appearance.
Inspect welds for defects (cracks, porosity, distortion) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Measure, fit, and position parts before and after welding using hand tools, gauges, and fixtures.
Maintain welding equipment and tools; conduct routine cleaning and minor repairs.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper PPE (helmets, gloves, aprons), gas cylinder handling, and fire prevention.
Document production activities and complete job traveler records, quality checks, and inspection reports.
Collaborate with team members and communicate production issues to supervisors.QualificationHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME, or relevant trade certification) preferred.
Certification in TIG welding or argon welding strongly desirable.Work ExperienceProven experience as an Argon/TIG Welder or similar welding role (typically 2+ years).
Experience working with varied metals (S S Material & Sheet Metal).SkillsStrong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy basics, and welding codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Excellent hand–eye coordination and steady manual dexterity.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Basic math skills for measurement and setup.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
