At Finxera, the Cloud Services Department securely provision and manage cloud infrastructure using public cloud AWS to the internal stakeholders. Cloud Services Department has three subdivisions as CloudOps, DevOps & Audit Operations.
CloudOps objective is to ensure that the Prod environments associated with multiple products have their “Lights On” and are aligned to the Company’s business goals. DevOPs is continuously working to develop code based Infrastructure to meet the velocity of the dynamic business requirements and to optimize the costs to ensure “Pay what you use”. The Audit Operations team is responsible to align with External Auditors and to conduct internal audits to ensure that the Company is adhering to the stringent regulatory requirements associated with international industry standard security compliances as PCI,SOC1/SOC2,GLBA,HIPAA etc.Operations
Position Purpose & Description
The Cloud Services department is looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer to help accelerate the growth of Finxera while building and supporting multiple software products. This is an excellent opportunity to join Finxera’s Cloud Services team, working in the fintech domain along with some of the best and brightest engineers and technical managers while also developing your skills and furthering your career within one of the most innovative and progressive technology companies.
As a Sr. Engineer within Cloud Services, you will have the opportunity to manage & build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon EMR). Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical management and ultimate success to meet the defined SLA; developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed; and manage the security controls of the application/products as it relates to the fintech domain.
As a Sr. Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical management skills and thought leadership. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience working with industry best practices for security, standards and compliance for designing large scale solutions.
Qualifications/Criteria's
- Creating, building, educating, training and managing cloud computing infrastructure to support our products/applications.
- Incident & Problem Management to proactively identify the issues and keep the adverse business impact to minimal.
- Deep-dive technical discussions around to always keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on industry trends with experience in the following key areas: * Technical – Web/API,CRM,Mobile technology and deployments.
- Operational – Web/API,Mobile Services operations, management, and security.
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, security compliance or state of the art architectures (e.g. terraform, containers, serverless, data lakes, ML etc.).
- Experience managing/operating solutions built on Public Clouds.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Passion for evangelizing and presenting technical concepts to developers, IT management, business functions and executives.
- **Should have scored 70% & above in 10th and 12th grade.
- B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent degree and/or experience
- Minimum 5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with enterprise technologies in support of distributed applications.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with hands-on technical skills in at least one of the following: Server/OS management; Network management; Cloud migration and deployment; Database and Middleware management; full lifecycle enterprise Software Development; DevOps Tools;
- Proficiency with MS office, especially excel and PowerPoint
- AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
