Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales growth, strengthen distributor networks, manage brokers, and lead the sales team within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong FMCG sales experience, preferably in the edible oil industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and expand distributor, dealer, and broker networks.
- Appoint and manage distributors to ensure market coverage and product availability.
- Lead, motivate, and monitor the performance of the sales team.
- Conduct regular market visits to strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure effective implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Manage collections, outstanding payments, and credit control within the territory.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth order execution and customer service.
- Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, and territory performance reviews.
- Ensure visibility and promotion of company products in the market.
Candidate Requirements
Education:
- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in FMCG sales.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the Edible Oil Industry.
- Experience in handling distributors, brokers, and channel sales.
- Proven experience in team handling and territory management.
- Stable career history with limited job changes.
