Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on IT Executive to support and maintain the day-to-day IT operations of WebMastersTech. The role involves managing end-user systems, administering Windows servers, firewalls, and Microsoft 365 / Azure environments, and supporting overall IT infrastructure across the organization.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, service-oriented, and comfortable handling user support alongside core infrastructure responsibilities in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support & Service Desk
- Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), VPN, and standard business applications.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding, including device provisioning, account creation, and access revocation.
- Maintain ticket logs, resolution times, and follow-up actions in the IT helpdesk system.
Server & Infrastructure Administration
- Administer Windows Server environments — installation, configuration, patching, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, file servers, print servers, and shared storage.
- Handle backup and restore operations, ensure backup health, and test recovery procedures periodically.
- Support virtualization platforms (Hyper-V / VMware) where applicable.
Firewall & Network Administration
- Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls (e.g., SonicWall / Fortinet / Sophos / Cisco) — rules, NAT, VPN tunnels, web filtering, and policy management.
- Manage LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi controllers, and ISP links.
- Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and uptime; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain site-to-site VPNs and remote access VPNs for users.
Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 — Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and licensing.
- Manage Azure AD (Entra ID) — users, groups, roles, MFA, conditional access, and SSO.
- Support Microsoft Azure services — Virtual Machines, storage accounts, networking, backup, and basic IaaS administration.
- Handle tenant-level configurations, mailbox management, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and security/compliance basics within M365 admin centers.
- Monitor service health, manage incidents, and coordinate with Microsoft support when required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, configuration documents, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- Document incidents, changes, and resolutions per defined processes.
- Generate periodic reports on tickets, system uptime, and IT operations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for hardware/software procurement, AMC, ISP, and service issues.
- Track warranties, licenses, and renewals.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an IT support / IT operations / system administration role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) — installation, AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, file/print services.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls — rule configuration, VPN setup, NAT, and basic troubleshooting on at least one major vendor (SonicWall / Fortinet / Sophos / Cisco / Palo Alto).
- Solid working experience with Microsoft 365 administration — Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, licensing.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure — Azure AD (Entra ID), Virtual Machines, storage, networking, and basic IaaS operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, MAC and Linux and Microsoft Office.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals — TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, routing, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience with antivirus/EDR tools, backup solutions, and patch management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, server, and network issues.
- Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Ability to prioritize tickets, manage time, and work independently.
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, AZ-900, MS-900, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
- Experience with helpdesk/ITSM tools (e.g., Freshdesk, ServiceDesk Plus, Jira Service Management).
- Scripting basics (PowerShell) for routine automation.
- Exposure to virtualization (Hyper-V / VMware ESXi) and SAN/NAS storage.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or related field (BE/BTech/BCA/BSc-IT/MCA preferred).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
