Job Title: Head of Digital Engineering & Industrial IT
(Senior Director / AVP / VP Level)**
Experience: 20+ Years
Reporting To: CEO
Location: Bangalore / Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a senior leader who brings strong IT, data, and systems integration expertise across the engineering and manufacturing value chain.
The ideal candidate should understand product engineering (PLM/PDM/CAD) and process/manufacturing systems (MES/MOM/APC/OT) at a strategic level, while being deeply hands-on with AI/ML, industrial data architectures, and digital thread enablement.
This role focuses on connecting these domains — not performing them — through modern IT platforms, integration architectures, and data intelligence.
The leader will define and scale our Digital Engineering & Industrial IT practice, unifying product data, OT data, process data, and enterprise systems into a cohesive digital ecosystem for global USA/EU clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Leadership
-
Lead the Digital Engineering & Industrial IT practice with a focus on integration, data intelligence, automation, and AI.
-
Build the roadmap for Digital Thread, spanning PLM Engineering MES/MOM ERP Service.
-
Provide strategic oversight of both product engineering IT systems and manufacturing/OT systems, without requiring deep domain specialization.
-
Manage global distributed teams, capability building, and multi-million USD delivery portfolios.
2. IT, Data, and Digital Architecture
-
Architect end-to-end solutions across:
-
PLM/PDM ecosystems (3DEXPERIENCE, Teamcenter, Windchill)
-
MES/MOM and industrial IT layers
-
APC, historian, SCADA/PLC system integration
-
ERP (SAP) integration and enterprise data models
-
Drive AI/ML initiatives for OT data, including:
-
Historian data
-
Sensor & time-series OT data
-
APC model analytics
-
OTS logs and manufacturing datasets
-
Lead the development of industrial data pipelines, industrial lakehouses, contextualization layers, and cloud architectures.
3. Product Engineering IT (Strategic Understanding, IT Leadership)
-
Oversee PLM/PDM configuration, workflows, integrations, and digital thread mapping.
-
Guide teams working on CAD/CAE integrations, engineering data management, and digital twin (product).
-
Ensure alignment of engineering systems with downstream manufacturing and ERP layers.
4. Process & Manufacturing IT (Strategic Oversight, Integration Focus)
-
Oversee digitalization of manufacturing systems, including MES/MOM and OT/IT platforms.
-
Supervise integration of SCADA/PLC, APC, historian systems into enterprise data platforms.
-
Drive AI-driven process optimization and predictive analytics from OT/ITS data (not hands-on engineering).
-
Support digital twin (process) initiatives via data and modeling teams.
5. Client & Business Management
-
Lead engagement with USA/EU clients across digital engineering, industrial IT, smart manufacturing, and Industry 4.0.
-
Present roadmaps, architectures, and transformation strategies.
-
Support sales with solutioning, pricing, staffing plans, and proposals.
6. Innovation & Practice Growth
-
Build reusable accelerators for:
-
PLM–MES–ERP integrations
-
Industrial AI models (APC/OT/Process data)
-
Digital Thread orchestration
-
Industrial data platforms
