We are now looking for an experienced and technically strong Presales Engineer ELV who can bridge client needs and technical design to deliver strategic, value-driven solutions across ELV and ICT domains.
Role Overview
The Presales Engineer – ELV / ICT / Security Systems will be responsible for solution design, estimation, and proposal development for integrated low-voltage systems.
You will collaborate with clients, consultants, OEMs, and internal teams to deliver technically sound and commercially competitive proposals that align with project requirements and industry standards.
This role demands a solution-oriented professional who combines technical expertise, analytical thinking, and commercial awareness to ensure every bid and proposal reflects engineering precision and business competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Estimation
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and project scopes to prepare accurate BOQs, system designs, and technical proposals.
- Design integrated solutions across CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, Fire Alarm, Intercom, SMATV/IPTV, and Structured Cabling systems.
- Recommend value-engineered alternatives that improve cost efficiency and technical performance.
- Validate designs and ensure technical compliance with consultant and client specifications.
Proposal & Documentation
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, compliance statements, and cost sheets.
- Maintain up-to-date system drawings, schematics, and version-controlled documentation.
- Collaborate with project and procurement teams for accurate equipment selection and pricing.
- Ensure proposal quality, accuracy, and timely submission for all tenders and bids.
Client, Consultant & Vendor Coordination
- Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and consultant presentations to explain proposed solutions confidently.
- Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for product specifications, technical clarifications, and quotations.
- Support the sales team with pre-bid queries, product demonstrations, and competitive positioning.
Post-Award Technical Support
- Provide handover documentation and technical clarifications to project execution teams post-award.
- Assist with design updates, material finalization, and integration planning during the implementation phase.
Innovation & Knowledge Development
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, standards, and integration trends in ELV, ICT, and security systems.
- Contribute to the development of standard design templates, product libraries, and internal technical documentation.
- Share insights with management to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Communication, or related Engineering disciplines.
- 7-9 years of hands-on experience in Presales / Design / Estimation within ELV, ICT, or Security Systems (India or GCC experience preferred).
- Strong technical proficiency in:
- CCTV, Access Control, Public Address, Intercom, Fire Alarm, SMATV/IPTV, Structured Cabling, and Networking.
- Skilled in BOQ preparation, system schematics, and cost estimation using industry-standard tools.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and CRM/ERP platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to balance technical precision with commercial strategy.
Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage)
- CCNA / CompTIA Network+ / EC-Council or equivalent networking certifications.
- Vendor certifications (Hikvision, Bosch, Honeywell, Axis, Dahua, Extron, Crestron, etc.).
- Familiarity with tendering processes, BOQ compliance, and international standards (TIA/EIA, IEEE, ONVIF).
- Manufacturer or partner training in security or AV system integration.
