Job Title: Testing and Quality Control (QC) Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Testing and QC Manager to lead the quality and testing operations of our railway electronics manufacturing and assembly processes.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all products comply with industry regulations (including IRIS, ISO, and RDSO standards), customer specifications, and internal quality benchmarks through robust testing and inspection practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control:
o Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures. o
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, IRIS, and RDSO guidelines for railway
electronics.
o Conduct and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electronic
assemblies and systems.
o Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for
recurring quality issues.
Testing Operations:
o Oversee functional, electrical, and environmental testing of electronic
assemblies (PCBs, control units, etc.).
o Approve and review test procedures, validation protocols, and inspection
documentation.
o Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment and
infrastructure.
Production Quality Control:
o Exercise authority to stop production in case of any non-conformity or critical
quality issues until corrective actions are implemented and verified.
o Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality
deviations.
Team Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a team of QC inspectors, test engineers, and technicians.
o Provide regular training on quality standards and testing procedures.
Customer & Audit Management:
o Manage internal, customer, and third-party quality audits (including OEMs and Indian Railways).
o Maintain audit documentation and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
o Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution through structured
quality tools like 8D.
Process Improvement:
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
o Participate in risk analysis (FMEA), control plan development, and process capability studies.
Requirements:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience: 8+ years in quality/testing functions, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in railway or industrial electronics
- Certifications (Preferred): Lead Auditor ISO 9001, knowledge of IRIS, RDSO, or relevant railway quality standards
- Technical Skills:
o Hands-on experience with testing electronic PCBs, assemblies, and railway grade
electronics.
o Proficiency with instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, power
supplies, etc.
o Knowledge of quality tools: 7 QC Tools, FMEA, CAPA, MSA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis
Additional Responsibility: Dangerous Substance Management In-charge
o Manage the safe handling, storage, and disposal of dangerous substances while
ensuring full compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company
policies related to hazardous materials. Additionally, maintain an up-to-date
inventory of dangerous substances along with the corresponding Safety Data
Sheets.
