Day to Day
Indeed’s mission is simple: We help people get jobs. Indeed Apply is the world’s largest job application platform, processing billions of applications each year. The Apply team delivers a range of products and services that make it easy for job seekers to express interest in opportunities.Our systems are large in scale and high-performing. You will build and maintain a resilient Apply Business platform that powers end-to-end job application experience. You will build and optimize end-to-end Generative AI pipelines to power core product features and complex decision engines, at large scale.You will work with an extremely talented team of software engineers, data scientists, and product scientists. You will regularly partner with teams outside of your team and your organization to make progress on critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability
- Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance
- Collaborate closely with partners across engineering, product, data science, and design to deliver solutions
- Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support the growth of other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing
Skills/Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience
- Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar).
- Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems.
- Exposure to API design and development, with an understanding of common patterns and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Experience working with AI Coding Assistants (Cursor, Claude, etc.)
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
Salary Range Transparency
Tier 3 - India 2,930,000 - 4,690,000 INR per year
