Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Application Development Manager to lead the development, enhancement, and support of business-critical applications for our US operations from our India-based Global Capability Center (GCC). This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, and people management, ensuring high-quality delivery of custom solutions aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate will oversee a multi-technology development team while actively contributing to solution design, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Development & Support
- Manage end-to-end development and support of enterprise applications used by US business teams.
- Oversee customization, enhancement, and maintenance of existing systems.
- Ensure timely resolution of production issues and continuous system improvements.
- Drive best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
2. Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture
- Act as a solution architect for complex business requirements, providing scalable and efficient designs.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks for new initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of technical solutions with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
3. Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers across multiple technology stacks.
- Drive performance management, skill development, and career growth of team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with US-based business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with functional, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams across geographies.
5. Delivery & Governance
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Establish and enforce development standards, governance, and processes.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and change requests effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in application development and support roles.
- Proven experience managing development teams in a global delivery model.
- Strong expertise in at least one of the listed technologies, with working knowledge across others.
- Experience in solution architecture and designing enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a GCC or offshore delivery model supporting US/Global stakeholders.
- Exposure to ERP systems, especially JD Edwards.
- Experience in automation, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
