Full job description

Ovivo is looking for a Senior Design Engineer in Aundh, Pune, India Office. Ovivo is a world leader in equipment and solutions for the treatment of water, wastewater, and ultrapure water. Our passion is to innovate and bring to the market equipment and solutions that lead to new efficiencies and further enable our clients to conserve water supplies.

The Design Engineer is primarily responsible for performing the engineering and design work of project specific tasks within the budget allocated to meet the requirements of Intercompany customer specifications. This important position also provides technical assistance for sales and marketing and supports product improvement projects.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
3-7 years of experience in Autodesk Inventor or other 3D Modeling Software Applications for generating 3D models and drawings.
Ability to apply mathematical equations to complex situations.
Ability to read, understand and create specifications as well as General Arrangement, Fabrication, and Erection drawings.
Strong desire to continue to learn and develop technical expertise.
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office programs.
Ability to understand English, at advanced level, via written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor, AutoDesk AutoCAD and AutoDesk Vault.
Experience using and generating parametric models.
Experience in designing and performing fabrication work [welding, pipe fitting, assembly, etc.]
Familiarity with Visual Basic and Autodesk Inventor iLogic

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the project manager and project engineer to establish project schedules, meet project deadlines, and control project engineering costs.
Perform general engineering analysis and prepare required 3D models, 2D layouts, detailed drawings, calculations, specifications and instructions, with limited supervision.
Document and update design procedures on a regular basis.
Provide technical support to sales and marketing through specification reviews, cost estimates, sales drawings and calculations.
Participate in product improvement, reliability and cost reduction projects.
Perform all work in a safe manner, adhering to company and corporate policies.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
