Full job description

Job Summary

Civil Project Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising civil engineering projects such as buildings, roads, infrastructure, drainage systems, and utilities. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and as per technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

Plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
Prepare project schedules, scope, and resource planning.
Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.

Technical & Engineering

Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Review design documents and ensure compliance with standards.
Use software such as AutoCAD / Civil 3D for design and drafting.

Site & Construction Management

Supervise construction activities and ensure work follows approved drawings.
Inspect materials, workmanship, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with contractors, architects, consultants, and clients.
Conduct project review meetings and provide status reports.

Cost & Compliance

Monitor project cost, budget utilization, and material usage.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain project documentation, contracts, and technical records.
Prepare progress reports and technical submissions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
2–5+ years experience in civil construction / infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes.

Required Skills

AutoCAD / Civil 3D or similar software knowledge.
Strong project management and planning skills.
Good communication and leadership ability.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Time management and multitasking ability.

Preferred Requirements

PE / Chartered Engineer certification (if applicable).
Experience in site execution and contract management.
Knowledge of project management tools (Primavera / MS Project).

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Project completion within timeline.
Budget adherence.
Quality and safety compliance.
Client satisfaction.
