Overview:

Titan, a leading company in the retail industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Deputy Manager to join our team in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with proven experience in managing a team and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including managing a team of accountants and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations, and make recommendations for process improvements as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in managing a team and driving results
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
CPA or other relevant certification is a plus
