Job Summary
The Direct-to-Doctor (D2D) Marketing Executive is responsible for building, maintaining, and growing referral relationships with doctors, clinics, hospitals, diagnostic centres, and healthcare stakeholders. The role focuses on increasing patient referrals, improving doctor engagement, strengthening the organization's brand among medical professionals, and supporting centre-level revenue growth.
This role requires extensive field work, relationship management, presentation skills, and healthcare marketing experience.
Key Responsibilities
Doctor Relationship Management
- Visit consulting physicians, surgeons, specialists, family physicians, diabetologists, pulmonologists, gynecologists, gastroenterologists, neurologists, orthopedicians, and other relevant specialists.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with referring doctors.
- Develop referral networks across assigned territories.
- Conduct regular doctor calls and maintain visit frequency targets.
- Provide updates regarding services, facilities, specialists, treatment outcomes, and patient support programs.
- Address doctor concerns and feedback promptly.
Referral Development
- Generate new referral partnerships.
- Identify high-potential doctors and healthcare institutions.
- Increase monthly referral volumes from existing referring doctors.
- Track referral conversion rates.
- Develop strategies to reactivate inactive referral sources.
- Support centre expansion into new territories.
Hospital & Clinic Engagement
- Establish relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, polyclinics, and specialty clinics.
- Coordinate CME programs, awareness sessions, and medical education initiatives.
- Organize doctor meetings and networking events.
- Support collaborations with healthcare institutions.
Oncology-Specific Activities (For Jus' Onco)
- Educate doctors regarding chemotherapy, daycare oncology services, supportive care, and treatment pathways.
- Promote affordability programs, insurance support and patient assistance programs.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary referrals involving surgery, radiation oncology, and medical oncology.
- Coordinate second-opinion referrals.
Corporate & Institutional Outreach
- Develop relationships with:
- Corporate hospitals
- Medical associations
- Trust hospitals
- NGOs
- Occupational health centres
- Corporate employee wellness programs
- Support screening camps and awareness initiatives.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain complete doctor database.
- Update CRM daily.
- Record doctor visits, feedback, referral opportunities, and outcomes.
- Track:
- Referrals generated
- Referrals converted
- Revenue generated
- Lost opportunities
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Brand Promotion
- Distribute educational materials and brochures.
- Promote awareness campaigns.
- Coordinate digital engagement initiatives targeting doctors.
- Assist in developing doctor newsletters and referral communication.
Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities.
- Monitor referral trends.
- Gather intelligence on competing hospitals and oncology centres.
- Provide market insights and expansion recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- MBA (Marketing/Healthcare Management) preferred.
Experience
Executive
- 1–4 years experience in healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical sales, hospital marketing, diagnostics marketing, or referral development.
Senior Executive
- 4–8 years experience managing doctor referral networks.
Assistant Manager
- 6+ years healthcare marketing experience with team management exposure.
