We are looking for a Manager — FP&A to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engagements to clients across geographies and sectors.
Role and Responsibilities
Financial, Planning & Analysis

Lead the design and delivery of FP&A frameworks for clients, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range financial planning aligned with strategic business objectives.

Build and maintain dynamic financial models including three-statement models, scenario and sensitivity analyses, cash flow projections, and unit economics frameworks for startups, PE/VC portfolio companies, and MNC subsidiaries.

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), management dashboards, and executive reporting packages to enable data-driven decision-making by CFOs, boards, and investor stakeholders.

Drive monthly and quarterly business review processes, providing actionable insights on revenue trends, cost drivers, margin performance, working capital, and cash flow management.

Support fundraising, investor relations, and board reporting by preparing investor decks, financial projections, valuation support, and ad-hoc analyses for capital raises, M&A transactions, and strategic initiatives.

Advise clients on FP&A process maturity, tool selection, and implementation (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Vena, Power BI, Tableau) to build scalable, automated planning and reporting capabilities.

Partner with operational and functional leaders within client organisations to align financial plans with commercial strategy, pricing decisions, headcount planning, and capital expenditure priorities.
Required for all profiles:
Engagement & Client Relationship Management

Manage multiple concurrent client engagements across geographies, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and first-time-right delivery in line with FinAdvantage's quality ethos.

Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of clients; build trusted advisor status with CFOs, finance directors, VCs/PE operating partners, and CPA firm partners.

Prepare engagement proposals, scope of work documents, and commercial terms for new and existing client mandates.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams within FinAdvantage (tax consulting, technology enablement, payroll, compliance) to deliver integrated solutions.
People Development & Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior Executives, Executives, and Team leads; take ownership of their technical upskilling and professional growth.

Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and foster the collaborative, accountable, and empathetic culture that defines FinAdvantage ("Be a FINTastik").

Design and deliver internal training programmes on technical accounting standards (US GAAP, Ind AS, IFRS), industry-specific accounting, and emerging topics.

Contribute to knowledge management by developing templates, checklists, process playbooks, and thought leadership content.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
-
Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI (required).

Additional qualifications such as CPA (US), ACCA, CMA are strongly preferred.
Experience
-
3–4 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, reporting, or advisory — ideally with a combination of Big 4 / professional services firm experience and exposure to industry or outsourced accounting environments.

Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following: technical accounting advisory, GAAP/IFRS conversions, accounting outsourcing for MNC subsidiaries, fund accounting, M&A due diligence, startup finance setup, or CPA firm support services (CAS).

Hands-on experience serving PE/VC-backed companies, startups, or multinational subsidiaries is highly valued.

Prior experience managing teams of 5+ professionals and delivering multi-client engagements simultaneously.
Technical Skills

Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, Ind AS, IFRS, and Indian GAAP; ability to research, interpret, and apply complex standards to real-world client scenarios.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, NetSuite, Tally, SAP) — experience with fund accounting platforms (e.g., Yardi, Allvue, Investran) is a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of data analytics and automation tools (RPA, Power BI, or similar) is preferred.

Familiarity with Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, MCA filings, RBI/FEMA regulations) and US tax prep workflows is advantageous.
