Role Summary
The CCTV Technician will be responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV and other ELV systems at various project sites. The role requires field work, technical skills, and coordination with project teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Installation & Setup
- Install CCTV cameras (IP & Analog)
- Cable laying (Cat6, coaxial, power cables)
- Fixing cameras, racks, DVR/NVR setup
- Network setup for CCTV systems
2. Configuration
- Configure DVR/NVR, IP cameras
- Setup remote viewing (mobile / desktop)
- Basic router and network configuration
3. Maintenance & Service
- Troubleshoot camera issues (no video, network issues, power failure)
- Replace faulty devices and cables
- Attend service calls and AMC works
4. Site Work
- Work at different project sites across Kerala
- Coordinate with site engineer / supervisor
- Follow safety standards during installation
5. Documentation
- Maintain basic installation reports
- Record device serial numbers (important for Helious system)
- Take photos of completed work
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of CCTV systems
- Understanding of networking basics (IP address, router, LAN)
- Ability to use tools (drilling, crimping, testing)
- Problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel and work on-site
For Freshers
- Basic technical knowledge required
- Training will be provided
- Must be willing to learn field work
For Experienced Candidates
- 1–3+ years experience in CCTV / ELV systems
- Ability to independently handle installation & troubleshooting
- Knowledge of brands like Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua is a plus
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / Any Technical Course
- Freshers with interest in technical field can apply
Other Requirements
- Two-wheeler & valid license preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours based on site conditions
Reporting To
- Project Engineer / Operations Head
Salary
- Fresher: Based on training period
- Experienced: Based on skill and experience
Special Note (Helious Work Style)
- Work will be tracked through project/site system
- Serial number tracking and proper reporting is mandatory
- Discipline, honesty, and teamwork are critical
