Job Title: English–Arabic Interpreter
Location: West Africa
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

Position Summary

We are looking for a professional and experienced English–Arabic Interpreter to support communication between English-speaking and Arabic-speaking stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide accurate interpretation and translation services during meetings, training sessions, business discussions, site operations, and official communications while maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities

Provide accurate consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between English and Arabic.
Translate documents, reports, emails, presentations, contracts, and operational materials from English to Arabic and vice versa.
Ensure the meaning, context, and intent of communications are accurately conveyed.
Assist expatriate staff and local teams with day-to-day communication needs.
Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive business information.
Develop and maintain terminology glossaries related to project and industry-specific vocabulary.
Coordinate with project teams to understand technical and operational terminology.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Languages, Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Native or near-native proficiency in Arabic and professional fluency in English.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an interpreter and/or translator.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Interpretation or Translation.
Previous work experience in West Africa or multicultural environments.
