Monitoring Analyst (Remote)

About DigitalPaani

DigitalPaani is a technology-driven water management company focused on transforming water and wastewater treatment operations through automation, data analytics, and remote monitoring. We help industries optimize the performance of their STPs, ETPs, and WTPs through real-time monitoring, actionable insights, and intelligent water management solutions.

Position: Monitoring Analyst

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: Rotational (Day Shift / Night Shift)

Role Overview

DigitalPaani is looking for a Monitoring Analyst with experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry to remotely monitor plant operations, analyze process data, identify operational issues, and coordinate with on-site teams to ensure efficient plant performance. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with STPs, ETPs, or WTPs and be comfortable working in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor STP, ETP, and WTP operations through SCADA, HMI, and remote monitoring systems.
Track critical parameters such as flow, pH, turbidity, TSS, COD, BOD, pressure, tank levels, and equipment status.
Identify abnormalities, process deviations, and equipment issues and raise alerts as per defined SOPs.
Analyze operational trends and ensure plants are operating within prescribed limits.
Coordinate with site operators, maintenance teams, and technical experts for issue resolution.
Verify sensor health and data accuracy, reporting any discrepancies or communication failures.
Monitor the performance of pumps, blowers, dosing systems, valves, and other process equipment.
Track alarms, automation logic, and control system performance, escalating issues when required.
Maintain monitoring logs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through operational insights and data analysis.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry, preferably with STP, ETP, or WTP operations.
Experience working with water treatment companies, EPC firms, O&M service providers, or industrial utility teams.
Hands-on exposure to SCADA, PLC, HMI, or remote monitoring platforms is preferred.
Good understanding of wastewater treatment processes and key operating parameters.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to work in rotational day and night shifts.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in centralized monitoring or control room operations.
Knowledge of industrial water treatment processes and plant performance analysis.
Ability to make data-driven decisions and proactively identify potential operational risks.
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
