Job Title: Manager – DB & DC Training | Wealth Domain (Alight)
Role Overview
The Manager – Wealth Domain Training will lead the end-to-end capability strategy for Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) administration, driving scalable learning solutions that enhance service delivery, operational excellence, and client outcomes.
This role combines domain leadership, training governance, team management, and business partnership, with a strong focus on Training Needs Identification (TNI), continuous capability uplift, and measurable impact on KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Strategy & Capability Leadership

Define and execute a comprehensive learning strategy for DB & DC administration

Build role-based capability frameworks and certification pathways across operations

Own Training Needs Identification (TNI) in partnership with operations, QA, and clients

Drive continuous capability evolution aligned with business growth, regulatory changes, and client expectations
2. DB & DC Domain-Centric Content Development
-
Develop and govern high-quality learning content across:
- Defined Benefit (pensions, actuarial basics, calculations, plan rules)

Defined Contribution (401(k), contributions, withdrawals, compliance)
-
Create modular, scalable learning assets (SOP-aligned, scenario-based, role-based)

Build advanced learning solutions including simulations, case studies, and real-life scenarios
-
Ensure content standardization and version control across geographies
3. Learning Delivery & Execution Excellence
-
Lead large-scale learning delivery across global teams (ILT, VILT, e-learning)
-
Drive new hire bootcamps, cross-skilling programs, and Train-the-Trainer (TTT) initiatives

Establish consistent delivery standards, trainer certification, and quality audits

Enable just-in-time learning and knowledge reinforcement mechanisms
4. Business Partnership & TNI Governance

Partner with operations, QA, client delivery, and transformation teams
-
Conduct regular TNI cycles using data (QA defects, SLA misses, productivity trends)

Translate business needs into structured training roadmaps and action plans

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on capability risks and solutions
5. Training Effectiveness & Performance Impact

Define and track training effectiveness metrics linked to business outcomes

Measure impact on:
- SLA adherence

Productivity & cycle time
-
Quality & error reduction
-
Implement data-driven insights and feedback loops for continuous improvement
6. Compliance, Risk & Audit Readiness

Ensure training compliance with ERISA, SOC, data privacy, and client-specific requirements

Drive mandatory certifications, audit readiness programs, and documentation governance

Partner with risk and compliance teams to mitigate operational risks through training
7. Digital Learning & Transformation
-
Leverage LMS, learning analytics, and digital platforms to scale learning

Introduce blended learning approaches (microlearning, AI-enabled learning, simulations)

Support automation and transformation programs through capability building
-
Build a knowledge ecosystem (playbooks, knowledge hubs, reusable assets)
8. Team Leadership & Capability Building

Lead and develop a high-performing team of domain trainers

Establish trainer capability standards, certification, and career progression paths

Drive a culture of learning excellence, innovation, and accountability
-
Manage capacity planning, workload allocation, and performance management
Key Skills & Competencies

Deep expertise in Defined Benefits & Defined Contributions administration

Strong instructional design and adult learning methodologies

Expertise in TNI, capability frameworks, and performance consulting

Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills

Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experience with LMS, digital learning tools, and learning analytics
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (required); MBA or equivalent preferred

Certifications preferred:
- Instructional design / learning certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD preferred)
Experience
-
12–16 years in Wealth / Retirement / Pension Administration
-
6–8 years in training, capability building, or learning leadership roles
-
Proven experience managing training teams and large-scale learning programs
