Full job description

What we're looking for

Describe the ideal candidate here.

Excellent knowledge in several of the following areas:

Network Security, Protocols and Routing (TCP/IP, Load Balancers, API Gateways, Firewalls…)

Infrastructure as Code (Container orchestration, Infrastructure provisioning, Terraform…)

Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools (GitLab)

Observability, Infrastructure and Application Monitoring

Cloud Patterns (Availability, Scalability, Data management, Messaging…)

Authentication and Authorization mechanisms (OAUTH, OIDC, SAML…)

Moving on premise workloads to the cloud

Linux based operating systems

Programming languages (Java, C#, Go, Python)

Database systems SQL and/or NoSQL

Responsibilities

Building and setting up new development tools and cloud infrastructure

Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

Identify technical problems and solve them in a structured and efficient way

Support development teams in implementing cloud solutions

Provide monitoring and observability solutions for Technical Support, teams and operations

Operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure for multiple industrial applications

Stability and scalability of cloud infrastructure and applications

Continuous delivery and continuous deployment processes

Connect and communicate with stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.

Working with any CICD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, any others.

Working with automation and Infrastructure as Code(IaC) tools

Working with Linux Operating Systems and cloud environments. AWS is mandatory.

Building and setting up new development tools, infrastructure and Networking

Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers

Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’

System troubleshooting and maintenance, administering development tools and systems(JIRA, Confluence, CICD tools etc.,)

Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

Deploy updates and fixes

Provide technical support

Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience

Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems

Perform root cause analysis for production errors

Investigate and resolve technical issues

Develop scripts to automate visualization

Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role

Proficient with git and git workflows.

Good knowledge of Ruby or Python.

Working knowledge of the Cloud environment, AWS is mandatory.

Problem-solving attitude.
