Overview

Synaptics is seeking an experienced Staff Technical AI Solutions Specialist responsible for deploying, integrating, and operationalizing enterprise AI platforms including ChatGPT Enterprise, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot Enterprise, and other emerging AI services. This position reports to the Director, IT Engineering Applications & AI Program Manager and partners closely with business and IT leadership on AI solution selection, feasibility, and enterprise impact.

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties

Lead the deployment and operationalize enterprise AI platforms including: ChatGPT Enterprise; Anthropic Claude; Microsoft 365 Copilot; GitHub Copilot Enterprise and Oracle AI services and other enterprise AI SaaS tools
Design secure integration patterns between AI platforms and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, ITSM, knowledge bases, internal portals)
Develop API-based integrations leveraging OpenAI, Anthropic, and other provider SDKs
Implement authentication, access controls, and data boundary enforcement for enterprise AI usage
Configure and optimize enterprise AI tenant settings, usage controls, and monitoring
Build LLM-powered applications leveraging ChatGPT, Claude, and similar models
Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines integrating enterprise knowledge sources
Implement prompt engineering strategies, structured outputs, and guardrail mechanisms
Design embeddings workflows and vector search integrations for enterprise knowledge retrieval
Develop reusable AI service layers to enable AI features across multiple applications
Develop production-ready AI services using Python and modern backend frameworks
Containerize and deploy AI services using Docker and cloud-native infrastructure
Implement monitoring for model performance, usage analytics, and drift detection
Ensure scalable inference architecture with cost optimization strategies
Maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI service updates and safe rollouts
Implement AI controls including: Output moderation and filtering; Logging and audit trails; PII protection and masking; role-based access controls
Ensure enterprise AI deployments comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Embed governance frameworks into technical implementations rather than policy-only documentation
Work closely with application teams, data engineers, and IT architects to embed AI capabilities into existing systems
Provide hands-on technical guidance and code reviews to development teams adopting AI
Translate business requirements into scalable AI-enabled technical solutions

Competencies

Deep understanding and hands-on experience with enterprise AI architectures, LLM deployment models, and AI solution integration patterns
Ability to independently assess emerging AI technologies and determine enterprise applicability
Strong solution architecture literacy across data, APIs, enterprise applications, and AI services
Strong understanding of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and embeddings
Strong Enterprise integration expertise across APIs, databases, identity systems, and SaaS applications
Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment models
Strong understanding of MLOps and AI service lifecycle management
Secure AI deployment practices and enterprise data governance awareness
Ability to operate independently at senior IC level with minimal supervision

Qualifications (Requirements)

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline or equivalent
8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in AI/ML or enterprise AI solution delivery
Proven experience deploying and integrating enterprise AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.)
Strong software development skills and experience with AI SDKs and APIs and deployment of custom AI applications integrated into enterprise systems. (Python scripting and/or programing)
Strong understanding of AI lifecycle management, model evaluation concepts, and enterprise integration patterns
Demonstrated ability to operate independently at senior IC level and influence business stakeholders
Experience working with global teams and cross-regional vendors
No travel required
