Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for:

Proficiency in Development using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM & IMS
Understanding the functional requirement and translating them into technical specification
Coding
UT test cases preparation, execution and UT log preparation
Code review
Independent testing (ST/SIT/OAT/UAT/UVT) Support
Batch execution for testing cycles
Implementation and post implementation support

Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience

The potential candidate for this role should:

6-8 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Mandatory skills:

COBOL, CICS, VSAM, Database (IMS or DB2), JCL, DFSORT/ICETOOL, ENDEVOR, Agile methodologies, SCRUM, ADO, API programming, Web services (JSON, XML)
Good understanding on Agile methodologies and able to work with various teams/team members across multiple geographies
Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred skills:

Tools: XPEDITOR, CONTORL-M
Integration: MQ, SOLACE, SFTP
Domain: Banking, Trade Finance
GitHub co-pilot
Z/OSMF API
Python (automation tool/script development)

Qualifications

COBOL-CICS Online development
API programming using COBOL/CICS
COBOL-IMS/DB2 programming
COBOL-JCL batch programming
GitHub Co-pilot or LLM model
Integration methods (MQ, SOLACE, SFTP, webservices)
