Role And Responsibilities

Managing, optimizing, and securing our cloud-based SQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
Design and implement scalable and secure SQL database structures in AWS and GCP environments.
Plan and execute data migration from on-premises or legacy systems to AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and fine-tune queries and indexes for optimal efficiency.
Implement and manage database security protocols, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with regulations.
Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Perform regular maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and troubleshooting database issues.
Work closely with developers, DevOps, and data engineers to support application development and deployment.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across distributed systems.
Keep up with emerging technologies, cloud services, and best practices in database management.

Required Skills:

Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator with expertise in AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
Strong knowledge of SQL database design, implementation, and optimization.
Experience with data migration to cloud environments.
Proficiency in performance monitoring and query optimization.
Knowledge of database security protocols and compliance regulations.
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Knowledge of DevOps integration.
