Description

As a Senior SAP Consultant , you will be responsible for leading SAP consulting engagements, designing enterprise SAP solutions, and driving successful implementation and delivery for clients. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership teams to define solution strategies, architect scalable SAP solutions, and ensure delivery excellence. This role requires strong expertise across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP enterprise solutions , along with consulting, architecture, and client engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

You will be working as a Senior SAP Consultant, collaborating with clients, sales teams, solution architects, and delivery teams to design and implement enterprise SAP solutions. You would be required to participate in pre-sales activities, business workshops, architecture discussions, and delivery governance.

Your key Responsibilities will include:

Leading pre-sales and client acquisition activities including RFP/RFI responses, effort estimation, solution proposals, client presentations, and product demonstrations.
Designing end-to-end SAP enterprise solutions across:
- SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Production Planning (PP)
- Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Quality Management (QM)
- Warehouse Management / Extended Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)
Architecting SAP solutions covering SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and third-party integrations .
Defining technical standards, enhancement strategies, integration patterns, and development guidelines for SAP delivery teams.
Conducting business process workshops, requirement discussions, fit-gap analysis, and executive-level solution reviews.
Managing SAP implementation lifecycle activities including design reviews, testing strategy, deployment planning, and go-live support.
Ensuring adherence to SAP implementation methodologies such as SAP Activate / ASAP .
Developing reusable assets, delivery frameworks, documentation, and best practices for SAP practice growth.
Mentoring SAP consultants and supporting internal capability development initiatives.

Required Skills

Primary Technical Skills:

8–9 years of total IT experience with 5+ years of SAP implementation, consulting, and architecture experience .
Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA (On-Premise & Cloud) and SAP ECC environments.
Deep understanding of SAP core modules including:
- SAP FI/CO
- SAP MM
- SAP SD
- SAP PP
- SAP PM
- SAP QM
- SAP WM/EWM
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) including:
- SAP Integration Suite
- Extension Suite
- SAP Build
Strong knowledge of SAP development and customization including:
- ABAP Development
- OData Services
- BAPI/BADI
- User Exits
- Smart Forms
- SAP Fiori / UI5 Development
Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration approaches:
- Greenfield Implementation
- Brownfield Migration
- Selective Data Transition
Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies:
- SAP PI/PO
- SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)
- Third-party iPaaS solutions
Knowledge of SAP Analytics solutions including:
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- SAP BW/4HANA
- Embedded Analytics in S/4HANA
Understanding of SAP Basis activities including:
- System Landscape Management
- Transport Management
- Client Administration
- Performance Optimization

Functional & Consulting Skills

Strong functional knowledge across SAP business processes including:
- Financial Accounting
- Controlling
- Asset Accounting
- Procurement
- Inventory Management
- Order-to-Cash Processes
Ability to conduct Blueprint / Explore workshops and translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
Experience creating:
- Functional Specifications
- Business Process Master Lists (BPMLs)
- Solution Architecture Documents
- Statement of Work (SOW)
- Client Presentations
Experience with SAP data migration strategies using:
- LSMW
- SAP Data Services (BODS)
- SAP Migration Cockpit
Knowledge of SAP ecosystem solutions including:
- SAP SuccessFactors
- SAP Ariba
- SAP Concur
Strong understanding of enterprise digital transformation initiatives and SAP modernization strategies.

Certifications

Preferred Certifications:

SAP Certified Application Associate in at least one core module (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP) – Required
SAP Certified Technology Associate: SAP S/4HANA System Administration – Preferred
SAP Certified Development Associate: ABAP with SAP NetWeaver – Preferred
SAP Certified Solution Architect – Highly Preferred

Professional Skills:

Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills with confidence in C-level and IT leadership discussions .
Strong proposal writing, RFP response, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage complex multi-workstream SAP engagements.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring delivery teams.
Self-driven approach with excellent time management and communication skills.
Experience working in an SAP Partner, IT Services, or Managed Services environment is highly preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
